History
The department was established in 1970 on the initiative of Academician of the NAS of Ukraine B.I. Verkin called the DEPARTMENT OF TUNNEL SPECTROSCOPY. Since then it was headed by the famous scientist I.K. Janson, who in 1974, together with his staff, discovered the METHOD OF POINT-CONTACT SPECTROSCOPY. Since the 80s, POINT-CONTACT SPECTROSCOPY has become the main activity of the department, which received a new name - the DEPARTMENT OF POINT-CONTACT SPECTROSCOPY.
In 2015, the department was joined by a scientific group of TRANSPORT, RESISTIVE, HIGH FREQUENCY, MAGNETIC AND THERMAL PROPERTIES OF NON-TRADITIONAL SUPERDUCTORS, headed by Doctors of Science I.V. Zolochevsky.
In 2021, the Department of POINT-CONTACT SPECTROSCOPY included the full staff of the DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORT PROPERTIES OF CONDUCTIVE AND SUPERCONDUCTIVE SYSTEMS, headed at that time by Doctors of Science, Professor Yu.O. Kolesnichenko.
1970 - 2011 the department was headed by Academician of the NAS of Ukraine I.K. Janson.
From 2011 to 2020, the department was headed by Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Yu.G. Naidyuk.
From 2021 to the present, the department is headed by a Candidate of Sciences in Physics and Mathematics (Ph.D.), senior researcher A.V. Terekhov.
