Summary: | |
Recent studies showed that layered double hydroxides (LDH) have a great applicative potential; however, exploration of their properties is very challenging because of hydrophilic nature of these materials. In LDH, which contain transition metal cations, understanding dehydration processes is important for a fine control of their magnetic behaviour. We propose to study in situ dehydration/decomposition/reconstruction behaviour of magnetic LDH in order to estimate the low-pressure ranges in which the structure remains layered as well as to describe the pressure-dependent behaviour of the interlayer distance in these ranges via diffraction of monochromatic synchrotron radiation. |
