He graduated from the Faculty of Radiophysics of Kharkov State University in 1978.

Since 1980, he has been working at the ILTPE of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, where he defended his PhD thesis (1994), and has the scientific title of Senior Researcher (2007).
He is the author and co-author of more than 70 scientific papers.

Research interests: low-dimensional charged systems in helium, quantum computers.
