Valerii Konstantinovich Chagovets
- Leading Researcher, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics
He graduated from the Faculty of Radiophysics of the Kharkov
State University in 1972.
Since 1967, he has been working at the Institute for Low
Temperature Physics and Engineering of the National Academy of
Sciences of Ukraine, where he defended his PhD thesis (1985) and
Doctoral dissertation (2005).
He has the scientific title of
Senior Researcher (1999).
Winner of the State Prize of
Ukraine (1996).
Since 2010, works part-time as a
professor at the V.N. Karazin Kharkov National University.
A course of lectures that reads:
1. Low temperature physics.
2. Cryogenic technologies in energy and thermal physics.
3. Low-temperature energy problems.
He is the author and co-author of more than 100 scientific
papers and inventions.
Research interests: thermodynamic
and kinetic properties of liquid helium and solutions of its
isotopes, ultra-low temperature techniques.
