Dear colleagues! with great pleasure we invite you to participate in the
which will be held (online) WORKSHOP on "Point-Contact Spectroscopy (PCS-2024)"_Day 1 WORKSHOP on "Point-Contact Spectroscopy (PCS-2024)"_Day 2 WORKSHOP on "Point-Contact Spectroscopy (PCS-2024)"_Day 3 WORKSHOP on "Point-Contact Spectroscopy (PCS-2024)"_Day 4
the Workshop is devoted to the
50th anniversary of
the invention of Point-Contact Spectroscopy method by Prof.
I. K. Yanson The goal of PCS-2024 is to hold a scientific meeting on current issues of Point-Contact Spectroscopy, considering fundamental and applied aspects and focusing on research into new superconducting materials and nanoscale structures. The scientific goal of the Workshop is to discuss the latest achievements in this field of science and identify promising areas that can provide access to new technologies.
The Workshop will address the traditional problems of PCS of electron-boson interaction in the actual and emergent compounds, the research of layered dichalcogenides, high-temperature, iron-based and topological superconductors by Point-Contact and Andreev reflection spectroscopy, the nonlinear effects in the conductivity of ferromagnetic nanocontacts due to transfer of spin momentum, the quantum effects of electron transport in nanostructures and so on.
Conference Scope:
• PC spectroscopy of quasiparticle excitations
• thermal effects in microscopic constrictions • resistive switching in metallic contacts • electron transport in atomic size PCs
Materials: • normal metals, alloys, intermetallic compounds • conventional and high-Tc superconductors • heavy fermions and mixed valence compounds • iron-based superconductors • van der Waals dichalcogenides • Dirac and Weyl semimetals
• topological materials and superconductors
Related topics: • single-atomic contacts
The Workshop language is English.
Forms of participation: oral (40+5 and 25+5 min) presentations.
Book of the abstracts will be available before the Workshop at the beginning of March.
Besides, a special issue of the Journal "Fizyka Nyzkykh Temperatur", which is also translated/reprinted by AIP as "Low Temperature Physics" (LTP) with the selected articles of participants is planned to be published after the Workshop. Papers must be prepared before the start of the Workshop and send to organizers.
Conference Venue: Ukraine, Kharkiv 61103, 47 Nauky Ave., B.Verkin Institute for Low Temperature Physics and Engineering of NAS of Ukraine.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact organizers.
