Kharkiv-City Walking Tour
MONDAY, 4 JUNE, 18:30-20:00
Extraordinary travel on the picturesque streets of Kharkiv city, which has become a tradition, will be presented by Yuriy Shapovalov. You will follow more than a hundred year history of architecture development in Kharkiv with ancient magic mansions, fortress-like monumental edifice of constructivism epoch, charming temples and the most advanced contemporary buildings. Specific monuments, cosy parks, entertainment centres, places to eat and drink tastefully and have a rest with pleasure are also waiting to be discovered. Exciting views, hidden places, interesting stories, urban legends and just a good walk will become with no doubt one of the brightest impression of yours in the conference ICPYS LPT 2018.

Main Excursion Program and Picnic
WEDNESDAY, 6 JUNE, 14:30-21:00
The main excursion program involves a bus tour through the Kharkiv city center to S. Ya. Braude Radio observatory, where the Ukrainian T-shaped radio telescope (UTR-2) is located. Radiotelescope UTR-2 is the largest and the most perfect world tool decametre wavelength range. UTR-2 allowed to take a new look at the Sun, Jupiter, Saturn, interplanetary flicker, pulsars and the continuum sources, as well as detect supergiant carbon atoms with principal quantum numbers 1000. Then there will be picnic in the territory of the observatory.
Please, wear comfortable shoes and clothes!
The bus will start from and go back to the main entrance of the host Institute (conference venue).

Music concerts in the host Institute is a strong tradition, which was initiated by Boris Verkin, the founder of the Institute. That's why every year Closing ceremony is finished by the Concert of classical music from the artists of Kharkiv National Kotlyarevsky University of Arts, also known as the "Kharkiv Conservatory".
