1. Massive magnetostriction of the paramagnetic insulator KEr(MoO4)2.
K. Kutko, S. Poperezhai et al. (Adv. Electron. Mater, 8, 3, 2100770 (7pp), (2022))
At the first time, the presence of massive magnetostriction in the layered paramagnet KEr(MoO4)2 was detected.
The extremely high sensitivity of magnetostriction at the changes in the magnetic field and the gigantic magnetocalic
effect in this compound open up prospects for the application of KEr(MoO4)2 in cryogenic and magnetic technologies.
2. Non-abelian statistics in the processes of light scattering on interacting Haldane chains.
V.P. Gnezdilov, V.S. Kurnosov et.al. (Phys. Rev. B, V. 104, P. 165118, (2021))
A new phenomenon has been discovered and scientifically described – the induction unconventional
topological volumetric states in the light scattering Raman process on the Haldane chain compound SrNi2V2O8,
which are different the topological boundary states on the surface. These states have non-abelian statistics.
